Yes, i think you are right and there is a "backdoor" even in ordinary TOS that allows the programmer of an application to "idle" his own program - I also have seen this.
But this is not really due to the multitasking capabilites of TOS but rather to the intelligence of the application programmer. ACCs do not necessarily multitask together with the main application running.
And that makes TOS in my eyes a single tasking operating system.
Besides that, i am in no way trying to make TOS look bad. I am basically using nothing else but the good old single-TOS.
