He may well be the man I am looking for. Apple 68k'ers have their advantages over the atarian, but atarians have the advantage of not being supported which has forced atari users into diy computers. I want a diy solution but I am hopeless at diy. apple mac users are not as brave as atarians at taking their computers apart.
This is a "general opinion" that is my opinion from being involved with each community.
This is the sort of thing I am looking for:
names and addresses of 68k hardware specialists.
I have been suprised by the similarities with 68k macs and 68k atari's. I need my mac now as it works! My Atari's dont.
I would definitley swap a few things from Atari TOS to improve my Apple Mac o.s 8.1.
Atari has not provided me with enough support (not a reflection on these forums which have been invaluable). I am wondering what Apple Macs email is and if they would provide open source for Apple o.s 8.1 and then support for ;
060 cpu
different file selectors
a crossover of TOS software
as I have said there is indeed similarities, and lets look at icab, 68k Atari application now holding it's own in a niche in the Apple market.
I know my questions wont get a straightforward answer but a discussion would be nice.
Yes indeed and perhaps I should've phrased my post differently. But it was not a direct blunt answer I was after.
I am shaktiman, I like being positive. :-)
