The ZIP protocol supports spanning disk archives, I don't know how (or if) this has been implemented in STzip. Would have thought so...

There was another program a while ago (d'uhh, all TOS software is 'a while ago' by now) that was available for TOS and DOS that let you split files into smaller chunks, then your ST could handle chunks from the PC and vice-versa, but I honestly can't remember its name. I think I have it on an ST Format disk (but I don't have my ST Format mags any more).
A similar program was out for Amiga called 'Splitz and Joinz' or somesuch.
