hey nemo,
my buggy falcon creates a directory called "C:C:DEMOS" if i try to delete C:DEMOSPIC.GIF for instance. the file will be deleted, but in return you get an unaccessible and undeletable folder ;)
it does not recognize any kind of hd driver installed on the harddrive- i'm forced to use a hd driver from a floppy
several progs that work on any falcon won't work on mine (like escapepaint, whip, crackart and a lot of demos). also it sometimes bugs when ugly dsp code is used.
i cannot write anything to the floppydrive- or at least, it apparently copies the files, the entries in the FAT are correct but the files themselves are completely empty. probably because the floppy-dma is broken ;)
the text display routines included in TOS sometime give various amounts of bombs at apparently random times
and some more and smaller bugs as well. my machine is serial no. 66, it has no revision number as these were the machines that were shipped to software houses before the official release of the machine. so some of these bugs might be because of the design of this series, others are because some chips went flaky (hard for me to determine which is which exactly).
cheers,
/peter.
