Yes, the problem is that you need either the 50Hz version of Spec512, or a program to switch the ST into 60Hz for the 60Hz version. Steem always boots up in 50Hz. We used to think that if you boot with a US TOS it'll go into 60, but that turns out not to be true - so we're going to put a boot-frequency option in the next release.
For now, use a program to switch to 60Hz. Many menu boot screens can do this.
I promise, Spectrum 512 really does work!
