I'm not really sure i understand what you're trying to do.
The STE doesn't have Audio-In so you will have to use
a cartridge. Since the STE can't do harddisk-recording,
the size of your samples is limited by memory and quality:
a 50KHz stereo 8-Bit sample of 3 minutes will cost you
18.000.000 Bytes of memory, a 25KHz mono 8-Bit sample of
3 minutes will require 4.500.000 Bytes.
