I've heard of the ST book, but good luck ever finding one!
To reply to the message about the size, haven't you seen some of these really large widescreen laptops these days?
I don't think an STE portable would be all that large if you redesigned the keyboard and used an external power supply and did away with the floppy drive.
If I work on this, I'm going to use compact flash as a "hard drive" and integrate a netusbee into the case.
I probably won't end up with a laptop. It's more likely that I'll end up with a custom portable case and an external keyboard and monitor, but it sure would be nice to make a laptop!
