I used to use a Commodore 1084s monitor with my ST...
There's two ways you can do it, you can get a cable made that goes from the st's monitor port to the 9 pin D socket on the back of the 1084s monitor which gives you a red green blue connection... I had this cable first of all... but it was made by an amatuer and the connections didn't last & I couldn't find another cable the same & the soldering seemed beyond me?
The next option is to connect via the RCA socket's on the back of the 1084s;
You can get a scart block and connect the st to the scart block & then from scart block to monitor.
16/32 have the scart cable available, I bought one from them & it has proven invaluable to me.
