There is thing called PLIP both on Atari and Linux platform, but they are INCOMPATIBILE and this isn't solution for you.

You may use your PC mouse via Eiffel interface (eiffel.atari.org), it allows also connecting pc keyboard, and connects at the place of original Atari keyboard so you will have your RS-232 free.

There is a guy working on PLIP (to make it compatibile on bot sides) but there is no succes yet. At this momment you can connect only two Ataris or two Linux boxes via PLIP.
