My SC1224 is getting diagonal bars across the screen. It is hooked up to my MEGA4 STE and seems to be at it's worst when the computer is accessing either the floppy or the 48MB HD.

The monitor cable seems to be very poorly sheilded. I can reposition the cable and it will change the interfernce pattern and even the color temperature of the screen.

Any ideas? I read somewhere that improperly seated chips in the computer, a dying computer power supply, or noisy power supply fan may be to blame.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Sark

I think my SC1224 is the GoldStar version.
It is very boxy with a stylized power LED and power button. It has a Hitachi CRT.
