Many years ago I contemplated the construction of a stringed instrument devised to interface with a Pokey processor from the Atari 8-bit machines. I really liked the great variety of gritty sounds this chip makes from its unique bit distortion banks. I saw a number of synthesizer guitars being promoted on the Today Television program. Now my mind is brewing again on such a venture to produce this instrument. I would also like to see if it would be possible to use the prototype AMY music processor in a fully programmable guitar if someone were able to figure out how to code the chip. It was rumored that AMY had very advanced strike/fade and envelope manipulation abilities that Pokey did not. Unfortunately no one knows what AMY would have sounded like. Oh.....if only the 65XEM really existed.

Who would I need to contact to propose this project?
