 Subject: Burning Rom to Flash Chip

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here has ever made their own cartridge for the Atari 800xl or similar.

If so, when you have assembled your code, do you have to edit the resultant hex file before burning to a flash chip? Or can the rom be burned to the flash chip "as is", to be played on an actual 800xl?

Thanks for any info, sinecerely appreciated.
