To use the 1050, you need an Atari 8-bit computer. One of these would be required:
1. Atari 400 with at least 24K RAM.
2. Atari 800 with at least 24K RAM.
3. Atari 1200XL.
4. Atari 600XL.
5. Atari 800XL.
6. Atari 65XE.
7. Atari 130XE.
8. Atari XE-GS and keyboard.

You would also need a copy of DOS, preferably Atari DOS 2.5, TopDOS, SpartaDOS, MyDOS, Atari DOS 4.0, Atari DOS XE, or SuperDOS. Atari DOS 2.0 would work but only will give you 88K capacity and the 1050 is a 127K drive. Stay away from Atari DOS 3.0 - it is incompatible with almost all Atari software.

You also need cables, etc., but it sounds like you already have those.
