The Happy 7.10 is great, but was good for single density protection. The SPEEDY 1050 from COMPY SHOP with MS-Copy could copy more than happy-backup and would let you copy some bad-sectors, crc error disks.
The best upgrade is SUPER ARCHIVER II with bit-writer, this can copy everything. I have a SUPER ARCHIVER II but not the bit-writer, but the SUPER ARCHIVER II can do phantom sectors, crc and more by editing the sectors. You can specify a track with all info, like gap,crc,sector nr (usefull for double sectors,short sectors and more).

There was a program that re-programmed the happy to chip (super archiver compatible) but I didn't get it to work...
