Hey all:

I need some advice.

I bought a 1050 (U.S. Doubler) Floppy.
It gives me the flash, I insert the disk.

Nada.

Nada darn thing.

I pull out the floppy, and *GASP* its blank.
No format, no nothing.

I get the Millennium *D'0H* Award since I
tried around 8 (original) disks before I
thought to recheck them.

... d'oh. =(

Now the odd part is occasionally, (twice) it
actually tried to read the disk, then choked
with a BOOT ERROR.

How do I trouble shoot this silliness?
Is there something I'm totally blind too?
Could the Peripheral port on the 800XL be
flaky?
How can I fix this problem?
What possessed me to go through 8 disks?

Please, stop me before I erase again!!

TIA
