Phoenix: The Fall and rise of Videogames is a great book, even though it's about the history of video games as a whole and not just Atari. But it has a lot of information on Atari so that may be the best way to go. As for a book that's just on Atari, I think there may have been one out there, but I don't recall what it was called.
