"Disks formatted on the ST cannot be read on a PC"
disks formatted on an ST, lets explain this
all disks on ST Were origionally supposed to be ok on DOS, however, a missprogramming in earlier Tos versions(pre 2.06) led to pc's having difficulty in reading disks formatted on an ST. Tos 2.06 fixed the problem.
Please note the above asumes that you use the ST's native formatting, however if you use a program such as Fcopy, or Diamond format, you can use these to format disks to the pc-dos standard which can be read on both pc's & ST's.
