I see, you are running it in fullscreen, I didn't think of that. The only way I can think of to get round that problem is to write a batch file that will delay for a while before launching Steem, to give other programs time to open properly. Something like this would do it:
sleep 10
start [STEEM PATH]steem.exe
You'll probably need to download sleep.exe, you can get a copy here:
http://www.computerhope.com/dutil.htm#01
Once all that is done put the batch file (or a shortcut to it) in your startup folder and with luck it will work.
