 Subject: How to get started emulating?

I'm a mother of two who still misses her childhood Atari 800/ST games -- like Ali Baba, Return of Heracles, MULE, etc.

I'd love to ask the community (with apologies for my newbieness) for help on choosing and installing an emulator for my Win XP laptop that can play these titles.

And what sites are safe and easy to download the games themselves?

I really appreciate any advice. I have attacks of nostalgia more frequently these days and I miss these old games.
