If you get the same fault with buttons C,5,8,0 and 2 then the issue is with pin 2.
If buttons a,b,c and option don't work then it is pin 10.
If it is button c only then it would be internal fault in the controller as the data is multiplexed to save on pins (i.e 21 buttons [24 on the pro controller] and only 15pins) a sing;e button will not fail except for pause as there is no more daisy chained together.
