I still regret selling my TT, I bloody loved that computer. I had an SLM604 as well and I produced a lot of my University assignments on it... As recently as 2001!
My TT was a custom job I bought from some agency in Germany. It had been rehoused in an enormous PC tower, with a Matrix graphics card. At one point it had 20MB TT-RAM, internal CD-ROM, 500MB SCSI HDD, 100MB ACSI HDD, but it didn't have the 'soul' of the original TT, which is what I wanted. That's also one of the reasons why I keep my Falcon as 'stock' as possible. I aspire to own a second Falcon I can mod the pants off, but for now I'm pleased with my museum-condition falcon. Bizarrely, the NV-RAM is still good!
I sold the TT to a nearby enthusiast along with the laser for more than I paid for it, and I sold the graphic card for the same amount again, but for pure productivity uses it was an amazing machine.
I still have the Linux etc. CDs you sent me at the time, BTW!
