 Subject: 1040stfm now only has 512k of memory?!

hi all

hopefully someone can help me please!

turned on my old 1040STFM this evening and now it's saying it only has 512k memory! (ie: it's become a 520 STFM)!!

this is an original 1040 with 1 meg of memory from the factory

it's completely standard and has never been taken apart!

can anyone advise me what to look at
