Hi there, folks! Nice to see the forums working, again.
About one year ago, when I got my HP scanner (SCSI),
I thought to myself "well, nobody has ever written
any software for the Falc, to handle THIS one, OR?"
But, hey presto! Some friendly guy at this forum,
told me to get it from Homa Systems House...
I did, and it works super! Iīm getting very high quality
colour pics from it (and of course, all editing is done
with APEX Media, what else ;) Thanx again, pal!
Now, this time iīve got another HP product, namely:
"HP Deskjet 870 Cxi" inc colour printer, so here we
go again: Does ne1 know of a driver routine for my
FALC, so I can print my scanned (and edited) colour
images with this printer?? (I also need it in my work
with the STX/TTX systems, to print PCB layouts on OH)
Hehe, I tried to install this printer on an old 486,
and even tough Iīve transferred tons of files between
the Falc and that ibm-clone via their Centronics ports,
using Parallelcopy, that f**king freak 486 claims that
THERE IS NO CENTRONICS PARALLEL PORT! It simply doesnīt
exist such a port on this machine, no matter what, so
just forget installing a Centronics printer here...
but it suggested that I could use a serial port, instead!
(You guessed it; u$ w95, of course... Argh!!) :(
And after disconnecting the printer cable, and re-
connecting the PARCP cable, I continued to send files
to and from my FALC via that non-existing parallelport :)
-isnīt ibm-intel-u$ just fantastic?! 8-
Now, I donīt hope too much, but IF there exists a HP driver
routine for my FALCON, where can I download it from?
