Just a quickie before it gets turned on...

The replacement chip that I have got, is now in the Falcon.
I have taken the old one out, and socketed tye board, and inserted the new chip, but, before I turn it on, I would like virification that the chip I have used is a good one, is correct, and Im not abotu to kill my Falcon.

The Chip is a Dallas/Maxim sample.

DS 12887A +

It is the PLUS CHIP.

This AFAIK only means that its envorinmentally friendly, and from what I gather it is 100% compatible with the non-plus model.

Am I ok to switch it on or not?
