To connect just atari's together, you need a TCP/IP
stack like STiNG or MiNT-net. and of course some serial or midi cabling
to connect an ST to a lan (probably ethernet?) you need
all of the above and also a ACSI-SCSI converter and a
SCSI to Ethernet card.

But yes, it is possible.
