Hi guys, I have purchased a used but very clean 800XL. Everything is fine except the select key is not working.
I opened the keyboard and carefully inspected the plastic film for dirt or dust but dont seem to see any. None of the round discs seem to be worn either. The only thing I can see is the edge connector - the copper part looks quite dark on one of them but being that there looks like there are a dozen of these lines and many more keys than the lines, if one was bad then more than one key should stop working....so I am guessing its not the dark looking trace on the connector. Maybe this is just tarnish like how old bronze or copper gets dirty looking when exposed to air.
Anyway anyone have or had a similar problem or can point me to the right direction, that would be fantastic :)
