 Subject: Atari 800 problem with blurry picture on TV

I just tried reconnecting my old Atari 800 to one of my newer TV's. Haven't used it in a few years. I am using a converter box for digital TV with the Television, so attached the Atari antenna connector to the Antenna port of the box, but getting a very blurry pic. Games play, but are very hard to see...could the Atari antenna metal box connector be bad??? or is it the digital TV thing causing this. Anyway to get a good clear pic again??? Thanks
