hey Gubbins, nice to meet you fellow atari user. The problem with your atari 2600 - have you tried using a few cotton buds to clean the metal teeth on the game cartridge? that can cause problems. also if you know what you are doing, open it up and look for corrosion on the circuit board. clean up switches if you can, and try a different joystick. if none of that works, then im sorry i cant help you. its surely worth a try!
