if the power is intermittent i would check the voltages at the power supply jack on the pcb board...if that is ok check the voltages at the regulator...15 in +5VDC out

if thats ok then might have to look around for shorts on the pcb, maybe resolder the points that look dull....reset and clean the ICs (be careful here!)
