 Subject: Attaching Atari HDD onto Windows

hi all, i have a 500Mb HDD from my atari TT, i want to dump all the data onto my windows PC (windows 2003 server). Mainly as a backup but also so i can access it through an emulator.

I have Gemulator and i know it can access the drive directly if it's attached to my PC.

The only worry i have is with windows, as in is it going to try and write data to the disk during boot or when it detects it as a new device. I recall XP fingerprinting new disks that are attached... so i'm a litte worried about my data!

i guess after all that... is my data safe?
