I'm not sure about Gemulator accessing you drive but it should be possible to write protect your disk with HdDriver ar maybe even another tool.
If you're not willing to take a risk it might be worth getting another hd, installing a pc-compatible filesystem and shoveling the data over to it. In this case you could just put it into the pc and use it with any emulator as access it directly with windows.
