There is no Windows program which can correct work with diverse Atari formatted floppies.

Actually, only Gemulator works with floppies, other work with images (I count here not comercial programs).

Reason for it lies in Windows, and his floppy driver.

Too bad is that very few people noticed problem because of FAT size of Atari-desktop formatted floppies.

Only safe way is still work with floppy images. It is recommended because of saving floppies itself too - read once, use images after.

Even floppy imaging suffers from bad Windows floppy drivers, therefore 800K floppies will not read correct in programs which use Windows standard floppy driver.
Under DOS is situation little better, but not much people use it now.
