Hmmm ... When looking at the Lynx schematics as
available from 42Bastian's homepage, i actually can't
find anything that seems to support the classification
"16-Bits system", but the Lynx was given a 16 x 16
Bit multiplier that actually produced 32-Bit results.

So, if the Lynx is a 16-Bit System because of that, the
Atari TT could be called a 64-Bit system since the TT
graphics chip accesses RAM with 64-Bits width.

It's fairly common by marketing to pick the biggest number
of bus width in a system and to advertise with it.
That's why the PC Engine was sold as TurboGrafx 16 in the
U.S., even though it had an 8-Bit CPU.
That's why the Jaguar was sold as a 64-Bit system, even
though it has the same CPU as the 16-Bit Genesis.
That's why the Dreamcast's box had a "128 Bits" imprint
even though it has a 32-Bit CPU

Just a few thoughts.
