My C: is currently a 512MB CF Card.
For C: this is complete overkill and I have no need for anything over 128MB for my C: and even then, its silly to have too much really...
Anyway, When I avoid the use of IDE the booting takes yonks... I have tried a couple of fixes, and only having SCSI, but this is simply not good enough, it takes too long... Again, my C: is not really a worry for me personally.
As for the latter partitions and drives.
My C: is the only one currently on IDE, the rest are on the SCSI Drives.
Partitions D: to I: are all 511MB
Partitions J: K: and L: are 2.0GB / 1.0GB and 900MB and NONE can be seen from the desktop, not even under Magic 6.2... The icon, when double clicked just flashes
M: is a full 1.2GB Drive with only one partition, again, its invisible... This however, will be my MiNT Drive for when I get the CT63 and move over from Magic full time... It is currently TOS Partitioned.
Ok, so lets assume I am doing something wrong then?
Because I cannot read a partition that is over 511MB on anyhting, that, it must be me then?
Given that I am happy with C: on the IDE, how should I partition the SCSI Drives for use under TOS ( CuBase to be more specific ) because with the ammount of space I am filling up with CuBase Audio samples recently is taking up not only my G: ( Music ) partition, but Im well into my F: ( Graphics ) and my I: ( Internet ) partitions...
I could definitely do with having G: as 2GB but definitely 1GB for sure!!!!
I have them setup as TOS ONLY... Any specific compatibility? - Im sure I have gone through it all in various tests and never have I been able to read over 512MB Im sure???
Im also running HD-Driver 8.16 BTW
I will dig out a 4GB Drive in a few minutes and have more play-abouts myself, to be doubly-sure, but I know I am unable to.
