I think we all accept that TOS has no more future. And Milan is the most acceptable path for *hardcore* Atarians to follows.
Well, the Milan has TOS inside, even though it can use MagiC or MiNT. TOS is still being developed, so is not as "dead" as you pointed out.
I was thinking as the 68k processor isn`t being developed any more and we HAVE to seek a new processor and build us a new OS solution from scratch all over again. Would it be a good idea to use the new AmigaOS in a new Milan PPC computer system?!
If you want an AmigaPPC ... get an AmigaPPC!. The interesting thing about the Milan is that it is an ATARI-compatible computer. I would agree that the possibility to run AmigaOS in the Milan (in addition to MAgiC or MiNT) can open unexpected possibilities. I hope that there will be a Milan PPC, but if it runs AmigoOS it won't be a Milan any more.
Running GEM on the top of an AMIGA computer... that would be interesting too, but I'd rather have MagiC :).
