Thanks for the scoop!

I kinda thought the bus was "normal," but hadn't figured on the drive-select bit. I have an older PC or two floating about, so I could check the fdd's in those.

I haven't had the case of the 1040 open since I installed a Marpet RAM upgrade many year ago, and haven't a clue if I even _looked_ at the brand of floppy at the time.!

I will also play around a bit with the original drive to se if I can wake it up...
