Hi chandler,
It is a standard unmodified atari falcon with 14mb and a 4gb cf card on the internal ide.
I replaced the nvram chip and the fan.
The falcon is stable and everything (besides the scsi) seems to work.
When i do a scan (hddriver) with nothing connected to the scsi port i can see:
ide 0: ts4gcf133 2010 direct access
ide 1: (some strance signs) direct access
scsi 7: atari falcon hddriver 780 processor (with boot konfiguration i also tried setting the system scsi to for instance 0. This works ok but no changes in recognising scsi stuff)
When i now connect a scsi device and for instance set it to id 2 the ID check will crash at that id (in hddrutil).
When i set it to id 4 it will crash at that id..
So it could be the processor however with nothing connected it seems to recognise the processor.
It somehow seems to work a bit because the cdrom makes noises when i turn on the falcon and the hddriver crashes at the specic id of the external scsi device.
I tried 3 different cdrom. I can't check them with another computer but it seems to me very strange if they all would be broken.
I'm completely lost any help or tips are vey welcome.
I bought the falcon at a local internet auction site in the netherlands.
the PCB was very clean and untouched. I think it was used in a studio beacuse i could see thathe DSP port had been connected.
