One get get an external usb board to older 3.5" floppy disk for pcs. The newer external all in one floppy disk drives can be problematic. I am going to try an older floppy disk drive for my XP machine. I remember all the disk utilities for the older Windows machine XP only writes for 1.44 mb disk if it writes or reads at all. I have had problems reading pc floppies on the XP.
