Without knowing your software, this is a rather difficult question to answer. However, your Citizen is probably IBM Proprinter compatible. I believe that the Brother laser printers (such as the 1240) can emulate the Proprinter XL. Very few other modern printers can do so.
Another possibility might be the Epson FX or LQ series dot-matrix printers. They are still made for commercial applications utilizing multipart forms, and still use the ESC/P2 command set. Expect to pay around $500 for print quality rather inferior to modern deskjets or lasers.
