Your PC may be running too quickly. I found this problem too, I got it to work fine on my P100 notebook, but it flatly refused on my Pentium III desktop. Try entering BIOS setup and knocking out your L2 (and L1 if you can) cache. Don't boot into windows, and be aware that things will run painfully slowly.
