Yeah but the I believe the Lynx II had a button to deactivate the backlighting to conserve battery power. I mean on the road you need battery life but at home?
And yes I agree the GBA is better than the 11 year old Lynx which was based on 1980's tech. I just wonder what the lynx would be like today if it had survived, with some proper R&D. Guess I feel Nintendo could of done a bit more with this effort for the price they're asking.
As to Atari's management woes, remember when two guys asked Atari to market a computer they built in their garage and Atari said not interested? Now that garage is what's called Apple computers. Atari put out a lot of good hardware and then let management screw it up and that's why all thatis left to Atari (except the arcade division) is a name.
