Hi,
this one was from September 02...
There are many reasons for not using this board, Norman Feske explained them on acp.atari.org; main reason is that it's not easy to use it. Everything (!) is linked by PCI, the CPU is on a PCI-card, the PS/2-connections are handled by an ARM-processor on an extra PCI-card and so on...not only would we need a completely different OS to handle all this, all these PCI would also slow down the whole system a lot. And what would we do with an ARM which is as powerful as the CF but is used as a PS/2-interface...?!
The current solution of building an own board regarding the pros and cons of what the Atari-users want (and what is possible) is the best solution.
