Ok, as you talk about software you're quite right - my boot partitions range from some few megs on an ST to 500 megs on Milan and TT.
My Falcons have 250, as they both did not like more although they should.
Only there do I have my programs, so any other disk space is for collecting data - which is quite another thing!
When doing hard disk recording you can easily fill up gigabytes of disk space, and I myself put loads of mp3 files onto my main Falcons' hard drive to listen to them while typing on AtarICQ.
My second Falcon is fast enough to be surfing the net at about TTs' speed while playing mp3, but I can't get MiNT to use my 114 gb F32 partition, so I think I don't have enough disk space for putting my mp3 collection onto that machine.
