It is a matter of taste and what you use the Falcon for, that can decide whether you'd like MagiC or MiNT+NAES (or even MiNT+XaAES) as your operating system.
Many like the snappy feel of MagiC, and others fancy the un*x stuff in MiNT as well as the fact that MiNT more than likely has a more secure future since being freeware and open source. Today we even have a freeware AES for MiNT (XaAES) which IMO is stable and complete enough to use an everyday basis.
There have also been serious issues in the past with MagiC and IDE-driver, but IIRC the problems did not affect all Falcons.
