Im wondering who out there has one of these?
More importantly, who has actually managed to get it to work without crashing.
If so, then would it be possible for you to do me a few favours please?
1 - Tell me in what order your AUTO folder programs are, and where relevant, what those programs are?
2 - I fully intend on moving to MiNT, but in the meantime, I would really love to get Magic to actually work. I have cut things down to as simple as I can do, Im using the special 060 version of the booter, but when I try to patch the MAGIC.RAM file with the Centek patcher, the Atari crashes. It does this whether I use TTRAM for load or DATA, and whether I use 030 or 060, and I have tried it with a few various versions of my Magic.RAM files, from v5.0 through to 6.2, and of course I have tried re-downloading the Patcher program a number of times.
Could anyone possibly patch the RAM file for me? - I would be happy to provide my own RAM file to show Im not trying to cadge a hookie copy of Magic.
3 - CuBase Audio, or Score.
I have managed to get it to work at long last, however, this is with the cache off and its so slow, its like an athsmatic ST on floppydisk at best. If I try to turn the cache back on, I get a crash. No good.
I have patched the PRG and I have even been sent a working PRG but it has made no difference at all.
What is needed to get CuBase Audio to work?
Id be perfectly happy with CuBase Score actually.
CuBase v3.1 runs perfectly fine it seems, but I dont want to go back to that.
----
All I want, is to be able to finally boot up in Magic 6.2 and have my usual Jinnee Desktop but I have not yet managed it after a few weeks of constantly trying.
----
I am at the end of my tether with this.
I am going to turkey to my mums for a week on sunday and Im hoping this will calm me down, but when I come back, if I have no luck after a week more, then I will not be best pleased.
