My guess is that the STacy would sell, even in it's current state of diss-repair, which sounds dubious to me, cos you said it worked for a few days....... power supple and hard drive shouldn't be to much of a chore to replace, you never know, you could replace them and it starts up! it'd be worth giving that a try.
Now, somebody would like that STacy, they could use it for spares if they couldn't get it working.
Making a lap top out of an Atari.......
it'll be big and clumsy...
Wait a while, they've brought back versions of the Atari 2600, the Commodore 64, the BBC Micro! I've got a feeling a few more machines could be in line, and if we're very lucky they'll bring back the ST.
Bringign them back I mean, they make a small joystick that plugs into the tv, they make the old components, but can make them smaller, with the C64, it's not quite a fully fledged C64, but it's enough of a C64 that people have been hacking it & adding their own floppy drives!
Has your friend who'll make an "Atari Laptop" looked at the STacy? cos my guess is that it'd be easier to fix the STacy than to try to make a laptop with an old Atari.....
Listen to what others have to say, cos I'm no expert...
