It depends quite much on the accelerator. I think you can run nemesis and the likes without the fan if the hard disk is external. The CT2 needs a cpu-fan and I think the CT60 will as well. I bought a replacement-fan for the ct2, and it is completely noiseless too. But then of course my big tower psu and 7200 rpm scsi makes some noise..
