Yes, I felt the same when I first discovered this.
Though itīs pretty fast, for being what it is,
What if they HAD made the Falc a full 32 bit?
-Would have been the fastest system around!!

Yes it have 32 bit registers, and so do the
68000. The difference is that the 030 canīt
multiplex the 16 bits, like the 68000 does.
So the Falc only uses half the CPU, donīt
ask me how this can work... Iīm confused too.

Well, since there IS no 32 bit bus at all... :(
The entire machine is 16 bit, except the CPU!
(even the DMA and COMBEL are 16DATA/24ADR chips)
The DSP56001 itself has a 24 bit DATA bus,
but Iīve been told that only eight bits are
used, though I have not verifyed this yet...

Hmm... I havenīt seen the schematics for the
Jag. It could use some kinda multiplexing...
