Yes, I did all of this while trying to get the CT63 working reliably.
Wiring the 7404 wrong?
Very possibly, however Rodolphe himself sent me that very Chip, so I would say that its the right type, and there is some wires already soldered to it, and it has clearly been taken off a Falcon already.
Now, with the previous 7408 job that had been in the Falcon previously, the track had been cut, and resistors ( R216, R221 and R222 ) had been removed.
When "fixing" the Motherboard and returning it to stock, I had repaired the broken track and replaced the resistors...
When applying the 7404 IC, I did not remove the resistors.
I have asked for clarification of whether or not to have these resistors in or not, and whether to cut the track again or not?
As for where the wires on the 7404 go, the instructions are fairly clear enough
> Solder VDD pin #14 on the VDD pin #20 of the GAL U63.
> Connect GND pin #7 on the GND pin #10 of the GAL U63.
> Connect the input wire (I did a mark on it) on the R222 high pad.
> Connect the 3 output wires to the high pads of R216, R221 & low pad of R222.
I did this and at first I looked through the instructions and I saw that R222 was swapped around and so I double checked and yes, I had it soldered in exactly as these instructions say.

I also noticed too, that a lot of the pins on the 7404 are connected together underneath? - Im unsure as to why this is?

Anyway, where can I download the full instructions for re-applying this fix?
Is there any real difference between each version of 7408 or 7404?
