Thats true. I am guilty of it.
But then you look back on the posts where I have asked for help, and you will find a lot of them have replies that are not helpful at all.
This particular CT63 issue is a perfect example.
Among the cures, I was told that I had to remove the clock patch... I did that, and restored the Falcon back to what it should be, and then I was told that removing it was wrong???
WHA...?
I have asked for help in finding a fix for it and sure enough, PEP has pointed me to the Hypertexts that should help, and I am extremely grateful for that, but at the same time, Rodolphe has sent me a 7404 with wires and no instructions, I asked which wires go where and I get told, I ask about the resistors but I have yet to hear, I ask about the cut in the trace, but again, I still dont know? ( I have had the 7404 for 2 months now by the way ) and I am not getting anywhere, and so I decided to follow Rodolphes basic instructions to the letter but thats where I get stuck, and thats where I come to ask here.
In the past, I wasgetting frustrated about the Falcon and was told that it might be best to stick with the TT.
Thats exactly what I have done for all this time, and now I am back in the same boat, but I am up a 7404 but only have 7408 instructions ... in German!
Sorry for the long post.

Has anyone here actually done the Clock patch, or had it done for them?
---
I currently DONT HAVE ONE THERE and last night, without the CT63 and the Flacon as stock, I was able to copy files from SCSI to IDE for over half an hour and some files back to SCSI for a further 15 minutes and never had an issue.
I plug in the CT63 and I can copy for about 30 seconds before it hangs.
I switch it to 030 mode and it makes no difference?
Is this the Clock patch being needed?
I dont think it is actually?
Could it be the RAM Im using in the CT63?
Possibly, but its the VERY ram that Rodolphe
suggests but it is double sided?
REPRODUCABLE ERROR
If I dont have a floppy in the drive and I click on the A: Icon, the dialog comes up about no disk in the drive. Whem I clock on a button, the Falcon crashes.
Any clues as to why this happens?
Can anyone give me any reasons as to why the Falcon will hang occasionally?

Ok, thats the last long post then.
Please help, thats all I ask.
